The last time I blogged photos of Heidi and Shawn, they’d just started dating. Now they’re engaged! Looking at these images, you can really see how their love (and our style of photography!) has evolved over the last year. We can’t wait for the wedding!
Heidi, Shawn, and I spent the day on Whidbey Island in the adorable town of Langley, WA on one of the last lovely days of summer. It was picture-perfect. We started at Useless Bay Coffee– which has the BEST NAME– where I got them cracking up about each other and introduced them to our new style of shooting, Be(loved). Like most people, Heidi and Shawn are a little camera-shy, so when I told them Be(loved) photography was all about taking the pressure off and helping them focus on each other and their relationship rather than the camera, they were stoked.
So off we went to frolic around the town, stopping to play kissing booth with a funny box (maybe a TARDIS?) we found in the parking lot of the Langley grocery, swing at the local playground, and frolic in a big, awesome field. We finally even found the beach after much wandering around, and finished the evening of an awesome day with a gorgeous sunset and delicious glass of wine. Thanks, guys, for trusting me and my camera to document your love story. You’re both gorgeous, inside and out.
By the way, Heidi does my hair, and she IS SERIOUSLY AWESOME. If you’re in Seattle and need someone to take care of your locks, trust me, she is your gal. Check her out at Habitude Salon in Fremont! And P.S., yes, I have a serious backlog of amazing weddings to blog. Get ready, they’re coming!
