Last night I was thinking about branding and wedding industry “psychographics” (i.e. the colors and shapes people respond to within a certain target market). A little brainstorming led me to try some new colors out on the blog. What do you think?
The the orange/green color scheme I had previously posted (see below) was cheerful, bold, and contemporary. But something about it didn’t quite seem to fit the “feeling” I was going for. So, I decided to try blue, which is a cooler tone, but also provides a nice contrast to orange. In this case, I feel like the blue is also cheerful, but more sophisticated, and seems to bring the photos more off the page. For some reason – and I say this without concrete research to back it up – I feel like blue fits more into the wedding “psychographic.” But, again, I don’t really know.
I’m not tied to either color combination 100% at this point. I would love to know what you all think.
Please, help me decide! Blue, or green?

jesslehry - oooooh I like the blue, but i think I’m partial to the green.
Zoe - BLUE! I really like the blue and orange combo
Kristin - I like the blue! I think it compliments your orange really well! : )
allie - greengreengreen
Rachel - Blue!
brooke @ claremont road - Hmmm, I like the blue better, but I think the green works better with your logo. Perhaps that can be modified by making the green leaf in your logo a bit more blue-green?
Amy I. - I’m on Team Blue!
Amber - I really like the Blue.
Kat - I’m getting blue votes here, and I got several for green on Twitter. It’s still a tie, oh nooooooo. (I’m leaning toward blue personally, maybe with a slightly bluer tint to the persimmon leaves.)
kim hayes - blue all the way!! I’m going through a color change myself, it’s so hard to decide!
Tamara - They both look great, but I’m personally more of a green fan. I think you might be right about the wedding crowd though. Blue seems more elegant. It just depends on the type of customer you want.
Catie Ronquillo - LOVE the blue. I really like the change.
Kathryn Speyer - Thanks for the continuing feedback, guys!
